Extended mains voltage range: Operation on 3x230-V mains possible (all hardware versions)

Function extension:
The lower limit of the permissible mains voltage range of the i700 servo inverter has been extended.
Under consideration of certain ambient factors, the i700 may now be operated at a lower mains or DC voltage.
This retroactively also applies to all previous series hardware versions.
The previous continuous and maximum currents for 400-V mains systems also apply to operation with lower mains or DC voltage.
As a result, the rated power will be correspondingly reduced compared to the nameplate data of the device (voltage lower and maximum current identical). This must be considered when dimensioning the drive.

For the i700 power supply modules, a lower mains voltage will be basically no problem. The switching threshold for the brake chopper in the power supply module will, however, remain set to 765V DC. I.e. the insulation of the connected motors must be designed for operation with higher mains or DC voltage because the DC voltage in the DC bus may rise accordingly in generator mode.

In the axis modules, the rated mains voltage must be set and the undervoltage threshold (LU) must be correspondingly reduced for operation with lower mains or DC-bus voltage (parameter 0x2540:x).
If the devices are subsequently operated on mains systems with high voltage again, the LU threshold must be increased again. Otherwise, the mains fuses may respond or the device may be damaged because the charging current limitation may be activated too late and, as a result, an extremely high re-charging current will occur (high voltage swing).
