Position evaluation of a resolver with a number of pole pairs greater than 1 does not work correctly

Corrected from:
Inverter Drives 8400 TopLine from firmware version 14.00.00.00

Response of the new version?
If a resolver with a number of pole pairs p>1 is used as position encoder, the position is determined correctly.

Which products are affected?
Inverter Drives 8400 TopLine with a firmware version lower than 14.00.00.00

What happens?
The evaluation of a position change is wrong by the factor "number of pole pairs p". Thus the path traversed is shorter by the factor p with regard to the actual position calculated in the inverter.

When does the problem occur?
If a resolver with a number of pole pairs p>1 is used as position encoder.

Short-term measures/recommendations?
In order to carry out a positioning process, the gearbox factor of the position encoder has to be taken into consideration with a factor of 1/p.

Evaluation:
Since the position traversed is always lower than the setpoint position by the factor p, SW limit positions are not overtravelled.
