L_MC1P: External encoder at the backplane bus: filtered actual position values are not correct (corrected from V3.12.0)

Corrected from:
- Library: L_MC1P_MotionControlBasic (FAST Motion) V03.12.00.70
(contained in PLC Designer V03.12.00.177 and higher)

Response of the new version:
The cause of the described behaviour has been removed. The filtered actual positions are now correct.

What happens?
When using an external encoder at the backplane bus of the controller, there may be step changes in the filtered actual positions.

When does this behaviour occur?
  • External encoder: An I/O-1000 module is used to connect an encoder to the backplane bus,
  • the LM_FreeEncoder is configured as a modulo axis,
  • The 'Filter for the encoder signal' (LM_FreeEncoder tab) is used with filter cycles > 1
Which products are affected?

- Library: L_MC1P_MotionControlBasic (FAST Motion)
  (contained in the PLC Designer)

Short-term measures:
Do not use the 'Filter for the encoder signal' (i.e. setting: Filter cycles = 1) and filter the actual values via the application.
