Functional description
With the selection "Material measure: linear inverted in unipolar mode" (C1110/0=4), it is now also possible to evaluate linear encoders the position of which changes in opposition to the direction of travel.
Example:
The laser encoder supplies a position of 2540 units
The position offset is 3000 units
The position output of the LS_MultiEncoder supplies an actual position of 460 units
This makes it possible to evaluate linear absolute value encoders for which the encoder position change runs in opposition to the machine position change.
This is for instance the case with laser encoders on a hoist if the sensor is mounted at the top and the reflector is flexibly mounted to the load handling equipment, thus determining the current position in the drive by the position offset C112/1 minus the position value encoder.
