Function extension:
In an additional monitoring function for Hiperface absolute value encoders, the digital position (read via Hiperface interface) is cyclically compared to the position resulting from the sin/cos track evaluation in the inverter. If the positions electrically differ by more than 45°, an Sd16 fault will be indicated. The monitoring response is set in C603/8 'Response to Hiperface sin/cos deviation'.
The Hiperface and the sin/cos position are cyclically compared every 128ms as long as the encoder speed is below 100rpm.

Application:
The additional monitoring function helps to detect interferences on the analog sin/cos signals which may in the worst case lead to a position drift. The monitoring function is known from the 9400 as 'Encoder angular drift'.
