Corrected from:
Inverter Drives 8400 TopLine firmware V16.00.00.00
Response of the new version:
Correct position reconstruction after mains switching.
What happens?
When using a single-turn absolute value encoder, the position is not reconstructed correctly after mains switching (control card supply). Example: Switched off at 360° -> -113759° reconstructed. The 'Home position known' status remains erroneously set.
When does this behaviour occur?
A Hiperface absolute value encoder is selected with C422=2 or 6
The encoder is a single-turn Hiperface encoder, e.g. AS1024-8V
Which products are affected?
Short-term measures:
...
Evaluation/recommendations:
After mains switching, the position of a referenced drive no longer matches the real measuring system. Drive movements referring to the home position may lead to collisions.
In the case of a device replacement, the likelihood of detection before occurrence is unlikely to excluded.
In general, multi-turn encoders are used in limited measuring systems requiring position reconstruction; these applications are not affected.
