Undervoltage (LU): Fault reset now already possible before connecting the power supply (from V1.7.5)

Function extension:

The behaviour of the i700 with regard to the reset of the 'Undervoltage (LU)' error message has now been adapted to most users' expectations. The procedure to be followed so far when resetting the  LU error message was not conform with the usual sequence when starting a machine:
  • Before connecting the power supply, the system operator ensures that all errors have been removed and still pending error messages have been reset.
  • The controller can be enabled immediately after connecting the power supply.

Behaviour of the drive-based controller series from Lenze:
- In the case of undervoltage, "Undervoltage (LU)" will be indicated as "Message".
- When connecting the power supply, this "Message" will be reset automatically - there is no fault reset by the system operator required.

Fault reset of the 'Undervoltage (LU)' error message:

- (New, V01.07.05):
  • Now, the LU error message can already be reset before connecting the power supply.
  • Prerequisite: The control signal for enabling the controller must not yet be active.

- (So far):

  • Fault reset has only been possible after connecting the power supply.
  • I.e. after connecting the power supply, there still had to be carried out a fault reset to enable operation.

Triggering of the 'Undervoltage (LU)' error message:

- (New, V01.07.05):

  • In the following cases, an LU error will no longer be triggered now:
    - Initial switch-on while the controller is inhibited.
    - Mains failure when the controller is already inhibited.
  • Now, an LU error will only be triggered in the following cases:
    - Initial switch-on AND controller enable has already been triggered ( RegulatorON=TRUE and SIA=SIB=High (STO is not active) )
    - The mains fails while the controller is in the 'Operation enabled' state.
  • Trigger condition:  ( DC voltage < LU threshold ) AND ( controller is enabled or shall be enabled)

- (So far):

  • An LU error has been triggered ('Fault' state) if the DC voltage has fallen below the LU threshold while the 24V-electronics supply has been connected.
    - This applied both when switching on the system when the DC voltage had not yet reached the LU threshold,
    - and in the event of a mains failure, when the DC voltage had fallen below the LU threshold.
  • Trigger condition:   ( DC voltage < LU threshold )

Status display:

In the higher-level control system, the 'Undervoltage (LU)' state can now be detected as follows:

  • Warning bit in the status word is set and evaluation of the error number
  • Status bit in the CiA status word for undervoltage

Contained in which products?
- i700 servo inverter from V01.07.05.10577

Application:
All applications in which the power supply and the 24V-electronics supply are not switched at the same time.
This is the case in most applications.
