The jitter is the time between the planned starting time of the task and the time from which the task is actually processed.
In the 'Monitor' tab of the task configuration, a maximum jitter of up to 1000µs can be observed.
As a result, sync telegrams of the CAN master and setpoint PDOs are not sent at the time expected by the CAN slaves.
When does this behaviour occur?
Sporadically, a jitter of up to 1ms may occur in the task with the highest priority.
Which products are affected?
L-force c300 controller V3.8 and higher
L-force p300 controller V3.8 and higher
Short-term measures/recommendations:
Select the interval time of the task such that it will be at least 1ms longer than the maximum task utilisation. The utilisation rate can be checked in the 'Monitor' tab of the task configuration.
Evaluation:
Sporadically, a jitter of up to 1ms may occur in the task with the highest priority. This must be considered when selecting the interval time of this task to ensure that the real-time behaviour of the controller will not be impaired.
