Following error is deleted at controller inhibit

Corrected from:

  • Inverter Drives 8400 HighLine V14.00.00
  • Inverter Drives 8400 TopLine V14.00.00

Response of the new version:
In C1215/3 you can select up to which value a following error shall be maintained when the controller is inhibited.

Which products are affected?
Inverter Drives 8400 HighLine and TopLine up to firmware version 13.00.00.00

What happens?
   • In the case of applications with cyclic relative positioning processes with a controller inhibit (CINH) in-between, an angle error builds up.
Example: After 10 feeds of 10mm each, the total feed is not s=100mm, as expected, but only 99.9mm.
The more often the controller is inhibited between the individual feed processes, the greater is the angle error.
    • In the case of position followers without an absolute position setpoint, which generate the position setpoint from the integration of the set speed, an angle error to the master value builds up after repeated controller inhibit.

When does the problem occur?
With every controller inhibit, the following error is reset to zero.
In the case of all position-controlled movements without an absolute position setpoint, every set position that is not fully compensated causes an angle error at controller inhibit.
Please note:
If automatic brake operation is used, the controller is inhibited each time the brake is applied! Here the behaviour will show very distinctly.

Diagnostics options?
A following error that is pending at LS_MotorInterface.dnMotorDeltaPosAct_p will be deleted with LS_MotorInterface.bImpActive=FALSE/TRUE.

Short-term measures/recommendations?
None. A reset of the following error cannot be influenced by the application.

Evaluation:
The deletion of the following error at every application of the brake controlled by the automatic brake operation in the inverter in many cases is not expected.
