Overvoltage error for operation in generator mode (eliminated from V1.2.3)

Eliminated from:
Servo inverter i700  V01.02.03.8426

Behaviour of the new version?
Even if the 230V mains supply is selected the overvoltage message is only set at 800V with the i700 servo inverter. As a result, a reliable braking operation can be ensured via the i700 power supply module if there are no other devices (e.g.g 8400 230V devices) connected in the DC bus.

What is the response?
During operation in generator mode, the i700 servo inverter produces an overvoltage error. The brake chopper does not switch on.

When does the problem occur?
The brake chopper in the 'i700 Power Supply' power supply module switches at a specified threshold of 765V (or optionally at 790V). The mains: rated voltage (parameter 0x2540) must be set in the i700 servo inverter. This setting produces the error thresholds for the overvoltage (OU) and undervoltage (LU) monitoring.
If a voltage of 230 Veff is set in this parameter, the overvoltage error threshold is at 400V. Thus the overvoltage error threshold is reached before the switch-on voltage of the brake chopper (765V) is reached.

Which products are affected?
Servo inverter i700  ≤ V01.01.02.7828

Short-term measures/recommendations?
Use an external brake chopper with an adjustable trigger threshold.

Evaluation:
Due to this functional restriction, the servo inverter cannot be actuated in operation in generator mode on a 230 V system.
