What happens?
The nodes connected to the CAN master remain in the pre-operational state. There is no process data transmitted between master and slave.
When does the problem occur?
The CAN bus cannot be restarted if the CAN cable is detached directly at the CAN interface of the CAN master and attached again afterwards.
Which products are affected?
3200 C controller from V3.2
p500 controller from V3.3
CAN card: MC-CAN2
Possible diagnostics?
Check the nodes state in the device tree.
Short-term measures/recommendations?
Switch the controller off and on again.
Evaluation:
If the CAN communication is interrupted because the CAN cable is directly detached at the interface of the CAN master it is not possible anymmore to restart the CAN bus. It is required to carry out a mains switching with the controller.
