Torque limitation (C4016, 4017) can be set individually for both directions of rotation (from V4.0)

Function extension:
As before, the max. torque (settable under C4018) is considered as torque limitation for both directions of rotation.
  • C4018: Torque limitation for both directions of rotation. Lenze setting: C4018 = 100 %.

From now on, the user has the option to set the max. torque for every direction of rotation individually:
  • C4016: Max. value for the torque limitation in positive direction of rotation. Lenze setting: C4016 = 100 %.
  • C4017:  Max. value for the torque limitation in negative direction of rotation. Lenze setting: C4017 = 100 %.

Both torque limitations are simultaneously active. The value whichever is smaller is decisive:
  • Positive direction of rotation: smallest value of C4018 and C4016
  • Negative direction of rotation: smallest value of C4018 and C4017

Consequences after a software update of existent applications:
The additional torque limitations do not have a limiting effect after a software update since according to the Lenze setting the new codes are set to 100 %.

Included in which products/versions?
ECS Motion from V4.0

Applications:
Machines in which the torque is to be limited differently dependent on the direction of rotation, e.g. for procedural reasons or due to a limited load capability of the mechanical system.
