Modifying the number of increments of absolute value encoders does not lead to SD7 trip (elimination)

Eliminated from:
EVS93xx-EI (Servo PLC V8.0)
EVS93xx-ET (Servo PLC V8.0 with technology function)

Behaviour of the new version
If the number of increments of absolute value encoders is changed via C0420 this will always lead to a Sd7 trip (= absolute value encoder error at X8). A Sd7 trip can only be acknowledged by mains switching.

What happens?
The enoder position is not corretly evaluated by the PLC target system. The PLC target system does not indicate a Sd7 trip (= absolute value encoder error at X8).

When does the problem occur?
The response described before occurs if the number of increments of absolute value encoders is subsequently changed to lower number of increment values via C0420 (= encoder: constant for  encoder input X8).

Which products are affected?
EVS93xx-EI (Servo PLC V7.2 and lower)
EVS93xx-ET (Servo PLC with technology function V7.2 and lower)

Possible diagnostics?
None.

Short-term measures/recommendations?
Whenever the value in C0420 has been changed save the parameter set and carry out mains switching of the PLC target system afterwards.

Evaluation:
If the number of increments of absolute value encoders has been changed the encoder position is evaluated incorrectly. The function restrictin can be eliminated by mains switching.
