Table positioning - No harmonic setpoint adopted when the operating mode is changed (remedied from V4.0 onwards)

Remedied from:
8400 HighLine   SW V4.00 onwards

Behaviour of the new version?
The above-named software version rectifies this functional restriction.

Which products are affected?
8400 HighLine   SW ≤ V2.01

What happens?
If the operating mode is changed (e.g. speed follower after positioning), there is a noticeable torque surge at the motor shaft because the current setpoint is not taken into account in the calculation of the new setpoint.

When does the problem occur?
The problem occurs if
  • the operating mode is changed (e.g. speed follower after positioning) when the motor is rotating
  • or the Quickstop function is deactivated and, at the same time, a positioning profile is started
  • or a positioning profile is started when the motor is coasting.

Possible diagnostics?
Recording of the torque with the help of the data logger when the operating mode is changed

Short-term measures/recommendations?
None

Evaluation:
This behaviour is usually noticed during commissioning.
