Table positioning - Limitation of the automatic brake operation when the positioning operation is used (remedied from V2.0 onwards)

Remedied from:
8400 HighLine   SW V2.00 onwards

Behaviour of the new version?
The above-named software version rectifies this functional restriction.

Which products are affected?
8400 HighLine   SW ≤ V1.00

What happens?
If the automatic brake operation is activated in the 'Table positioning' application (L-C02580 = 12) and a travel profile is started during positioning operation it happens that the position control is working against the automatic brake operation. The drive tries to travel against the closed holding brake.

When does the problem occur?
The problem occurs in the 'Table positioning' application if the automatic brake operation is activated (L-C02580 = 12) and a travel profile is started.

Possible diagnostics?
Check whether the automatic brake operation is activated (L-C02580 = 12).

Short-term measures/recommendations?
Do not implement the brake control via the frequency inverter (switch off the automatic brake operation during positioning operation [L-C02580 = 0 or 11]).

Evaluation:
The load is not transferred jerk-free or an increased wear of the brake appears. This function restriction can be eliminated by applying the recommendations mentioned before.
