Function description
The CANopen functionality now corresponds to the CiA specification DS301, V402.
Extensions compared to the EMF 2175 communication module:
- Transmission of the boot-up object when changing to the 'Pre-operational' mode
- Heartbeat mechanism
- Sending of emergency telegrams
- Control of the CAN status LED according to the CANopen specification
- Implementation of the inhibit timer and event timer for all TPDOs
- Automatic transmission of the PDOs when changing to the 'Operational' mode (L-C1864)
- Activation of the 2nd parameter channel and PDOs via code (see documentation)
- Index 1029hex to select the response at the bus in case of a communication error
- Change from 'Operational' to 'Pre-operational' if an error has occurred
- Product code and revision number under index 1018 hex
Applications
For trouble-free operation in a CANopen system with master it is required that the CANopen specification is completely supported.
