Current system error message is not stored safe from power failure in the fault memory (eliminated from DPLC V8.3)

Eliminated from:
EPL-10200 (Drive PLC) from V8.3 onwards

Behaviour of the new version?
System error messages (trip, warning and message) are entered safe against mains failure in the fault memory (C0168=current fault, C0169=instant when the fault occurs and C0170=number of faults) even if they have not been acknowledged before mains switching. The last (active) error message is indicated in subcode 2 of the history buffer.

Which products are affected?
EPL-10200 EI (Drive PLC <= V8.1)
EPL-10200 ET (Drive PLC <= V8.1 with technology function)

What happens?
After mains switching of the Drive PLC the last system error messages are missing in the fault memory (C0168).

When does the problem occur?
If the current system error message response is Warning or Message the system error message is not stored safe from power failure in the fault memory.
If the current system error message response is Trip the system error message is not stored safe from power failure in the fault memory if it had not been acknowledged before mains switching of the Drive PLC has been executed.

Possible diagnostics?
None.

Short-term measures/recommendations?
None.

Evaluation:
The current system error message is not stored safe from power failure in the fault memory when switching off the Drive PLC. If a malfunction appears the machine operator typically switches the machine off and on again. As a result, a subsequent error diagnostics is impossible.
