Function description
An adjustable resolution of the position (target and actual values) can be used within the applications. In C00100, the number of bits with which an encoder revolution is shown is entered. The remaining bits of the Dword (32 bit) indicate the number for all revolutions. This does not change anything in the display of angle signals with fix 64 bit (32 bit for a revolution) within the motor control.
Applications
The resolution of an encoder revolution can be adjusted for drives that require a large number of revolutions with a low degree of accuracy. In return, the accuracy within a revolution can be increased for drives with few revolutions and a high degree of accuracy.
