PLC target system denies write access to codes

Which products are affected?
EVS93xxEI (Servo PLC V7.2 and lower)
EVS93xxET (Servo PLC with technology function V7.2 and lower)

What happens?
Write access to codes is denied via the onboard system bus of the PLC target system and in case of the Drive PLC even via the FIF interface. The PLC target system responds with an error telegram (Error Response).

When does the problem occur?
The response described above may occur if a code with a data length of 2 bytes (see attribute table included in the Manual of the PLC target system) is written with a 2 byte data command (Write Request 2Bhex).

If a code is written with L_ParWrite this function restriction does not occur.

Possible diagnostics?
None.

Short-term measures/recommendations?
Use a 4-byte data command to write a code with a data length of 2 bytes (Write Request 23hex).

Evaluation:
This function restriction may occur if a higher-level control accesses codes with a data length of 2 bytes via CAN, e. g. code C0135 (control word). PLC target systems only have few codes with a data length of 2 bytes.
