ETCxC - technology function CUTTING

The following products are concerned:
Device type: ETCxC
Operating system: ≥1.76 beta3

Application:
Material or glass cutting technology
During cutting, it is often absolutely necessary that a rotation axis permanently tracks the linear axes X and Y. For this purpose, the ETC is equipped with the CUTTING function.

Description:

1.  Activating the function
Enter the function in the machine constant: MK_KUNDE:  SCHNEIDEN
For details, please see the 'ETC Motion Control software manual' - chapter 4

2.  Configuring the axes
X and Y axis must be linear axes and C must be a rotation axis.

3.  P fields
When the technology function is active, the P fields from P1024-P1500 onwards are firmly assigned.

IMPORTANT: In this case, the PLC application cannot freely use these P fields.

4.  M functions
There are also special M functions with fixed functions. E.g. M14 activates the technology function and M15 deactivates the technology function.
For cutting it is assumed that the knife is only positioned. I.e. you do not have a Z axis, but only a cylinder which is controlled forward and backward by an M command.
This can then be executed in the PLC using M14 and M15.

After M15, the C axis can again be independently re-positioned. If M14 is activated again, the C axis will track the linear axes.

5.  Activating the technology function with G41 and deactivation with G40
A technology function from MK_KUNDE is activated with M41 and, if necessary, deactivated with M40.
