Position changes when changing over between the basic functions LS_SpeedFollower and LS_ManualJog (remedied from V1.5)

Remedied from?
9400 HighLine SW V1.5

Corrected function restriction
When changing the setpoint source from LS_SpeedFollower or the like e.g. to LS_ManualJog, the drive might shortly move anti-clockwise. This undesirable behaviour does not occur anymore.

Which products are affected?
9400 HighLine SW ≤ V1.37

What happens?
During a direct transition or changeover from the basic function 'speed follower' to 'manual jog', the drive may in some situations perform a reverse rotation after decelerating to standstill.

When does the problem occur?
Applications which require a changeover from a speed-controlled operation to the manual jog mode, e. g. in applications with the TAs 'actuator – speed' and 'electronic gearbox'.

Possible diagnostics?
Record the motion profile during changeover with the aid of the Engineer oscilloscope.

Short-term measures/recommendations?
The changeover/activation of the basic function 'manual jog' must only take place after the drive has been brought to a standstill.
This behaviour can be avoided by setting the S-ramp time (C02624) to '0', i. e. by implementing the manual jog mode with a linear ramp function and not with an S-ramp function.

Evaluation
With regard to the implementation of a pure manual jog function, this restriction should not present any problems in terms of application solutions. However, usage of the function within the process of the machine is problematic.
The behaviour needs to be taken into account by the user.
