Error when adjusting the motor pole angle for high-pole motors (remedied from V4.0)

Remedied from:
9400 HighLine SW V4.0

Eliminated function restriction?
The behaviour occured only rarely possible..
To avoid this in the future the codes C00641 – C00644 were implemented. With it is possible to adjust the controller behaviour during the PLI.

Which products are affected?
9400 HighLine SW ≤ V3.0
9400 StateLine SW ≤ V3.0

What happens?
Abort of the motor pole angle adjustment.

When does the problem occur?
If the motor pole angle of high-pole motors (e.g. p > 10) is adjusted, the rotor might not correctly align with a pole or turn by one pole too far. This leads to an abort of the motor pole angle adjustment, which is displayed in the Engineer.

Possible diagnostics?
In method C00002 => 51: The drive shaft oscillates between two poles.
In method C00002 => 52: One jerky rotation by one pole pitch
Abort of the motor pole angle adjustment.

Short-term measures/recommendations?
Reduce (in rare cases even increase) the rated motor current C00088 before carrying out the adjustment. After the adjustment, set the rated current again to its correct value.
Or repeat the motor pole angle adjustment.
There are two methods for determining the rotor displacement angle. You can try the adjustment using the other method.
C00002:
Command 51: Determine the motor pole angle with the electric angle of rotation 360°.
Command 52: Determine the motor pole angle with the electric angle of rotation 20°.

Evaluation
Since the motor cannot be commissioned in the worst case, you must make sure that the motor can be used by taking additional measures!
