Number of pole pairs of resolver is also evaluated with TTL or SIN/COS feedback system (remedied from B-SW V7.4)

Remedied from:
ECS axis module B-SW V7.4

Behaviour of new version?
The number of pole pairs of the resolver is only evaluated when operating with resolver.

Which products are concerned?
ECS axis module B-SW <= 7.1

Problem description:
When, during parameter setting of the device, a SIN/COS (incremental or absolute) or a TTL encoder is set as feedback system under C0490 and C0495, you expect that the number of pole pairs of the resolver which is set under C0080 has no effect on the feedback system evaluation. However, this expectation is not met. C0080 is also evaluated when using an incremental a SIN/COS encoder. With this, the mechanical motor speed is increased by the factor C0080.

When does the problem occur?
When encoders are used as speed feedback and code C0080 (number of pole pairs of the resolver ) is higher than 1.

Possible diagnostics?
Read code C0080.

Short-term measures/recommendations?
Set code C0080 to 1.

Evaluation
For Lenze motors, only resolvers with one pole pair are used. Therefore, this problem usually only occurs when the axis controller was previously used with a 3rd-party motor (with a resolver with several pole pairs) and is now to be used with an incremental encoder.
