Transmitting cycle time of the process data channels CAN2 and CAN3 is doubled

Which products are affected?
EVS93xx-EI (Servo PLC > V2.3 and V6.x)
EVS93xx-ET (Servo PLC > V2.3 and V6.x with technology function)
EPL-10200 (Drive PLC V6.x)

What happens?
The time required to complete a transmitting cycle of the process data channels CAN2 and CAN3 is twice as long as the value entered under code C0356.

When does the problem occur?
The transmitting cycle of the process data channels CAN2 and CAN3 is set via code C0356 subcodes 2 and 3. The value of this subcode corresponds to the interval time factor of the task in which the process mirror (see DDS: tab Resources>Process mirror) of the process data channels is created.

If the transmitting cycle of the process data channels (C0356 * task interval time) corresponds to the transmitting cycle of the sync telegram and if the system variable CAN_bTxCan2Synchronized_b or CAN_bTxCan3Synchronized_b (CAN_Management system block) is set to TRUE the transmitting cycle time of the process data channels may be doubled when the PLC target is reset or started/stopped.

Possible diagnostics?
The transmitting cycle of the process data channels can be monitored by means of a CAN analyzer (e. g. Peak PCan View software).

Short-term measures/recommendations?
None.

Evaluation:
The process data channels CAN2 and CAN3 have been designed for an event-controlled/time-controlled exchange of data. If the system variables CAN_bTxCan2Synchronized_b or CAN_bTxCan3Synchronized_b are set to TRUE the PLC target systems sends the telegrams after the sync telegram. This function is used quite rarely in practice.
