No controller inhibit in case of a control reset (remedied from B-SW V7.0)

Remedied from:
ECS axis module B-SW V7.0

Behaviour of new version?
In case of a control reset, e. g. via the DDS menu Online>Reset, the ECS axis module ramps down along the quick stop deceleration ramp or the controller inhibit in the ECS axis module is set. The requested behaviour can be set in the DDS menu Project>Exceptional response (QSP or Trip/CINH).

Still existent function restriction:
If in the DDS menu Project>Exceptional response the Warning behaviour is selected, the controller is also inhibited in case of a control reset – the motor does not continue to rotate as expected.

Which products are affected?
ECS axis module B-SW <= V6.7
EVS93xxEI (Servo PLC V6.5)
EVS93xxET (Servo PLC V6.5 equipped with technology function)

What happens?
In case of a control reset, e. g. via the DDS menu Online>Reset or code C2108 = 3, the drive is stopped but remains in control mode (controller enable).

When does the problem occur?
Irrespective of the exceptional response set (DDS menu Project>Exceptional response) the drive is stopped but not inhibited. According to standard the exceptional response is set to controller inhibit (CINH).

If the PLC program is stopped, e. g. via the DDS menu Online>Stop or code C2108 = 2, the drive responds according to the exceptional response set.

Possible diagnostics?
None.

Short-term measures/recommendations?
None.

Evaluation:
In case of a control reset the drive does not respond according to the exceptional behaviour set. The drive is always stopped but remains enabled. This behaviour can be detected during commissioning phase. A control reset is usually not executed while the machine is running.
