Response to a RTR telegram cannot be avoided

Which products are affected?
E82ZAFUC CANopen fieldbus function module with firmware version ≤ 1.0

What happens?
On arrival of a RTR telegram (Remote Transmission Request) the TPDO (Transmission process data object) addressed returns a response telegram. The sending of this response telegram cannot be avoided.

When does the problem occur?
The situation described above always occurs since it is not permitted to set bit 30 of the COB-ID (Communication Object Identifier).

Possible diagnostics?
If a RTR telegram with a corresponding identifier is sent to the fieldbus function module, the module always responds by sending a response telegram. This can be diagnosed by means of a suitable tool (e. g. PeakCAN explorer).

Short-term measures/recommendations?
None.

Evaluation:
The response of the fieldbus function module to a RTR telegram is not to be considered as a problem since the sending of a RTR telegram aims at obtaining a response telegram.
