The module cannot be identified via the OPC communication path ¨Bus server S7¨

Which products are affected?
The fieldbus function module E82ZAFPC201 Profibus I/O with firmware version 0.7 in combination with the 8200 vector/motec frequency inverter series

What happens?
By means of the DriveServer and GDC a communication to the module via the bus server S7 and through Siemens PLC can be established. A station at the Profibus is found but the module cannot be identified by the DriveServer or GDC.

When does the problem occur?
The problem occurs whenever the module is to be identified via the bus server S7. The problem is caused by code C1502 which is used to identify the module via the communication path 'Bus server S7'.

Possible diagnostics?
If the DriveServer or GDC finds a station but no pdb file (identification failed) can be assigned.

Short-term measures/recommendations?
None.
In firmware version 0.8 the error in code C1502 is eliminated so that an identification can be executed without problems.

For the Lenze software DriveServer the fieldbus function module Profibus I/O can be identified with the attached pdb-file. For this purpose this pdb-file is to be copied to the DriveServer directory .....\pdb\049. For the operation with GDC there is currently no remedy.

Evaluation:
As this error is permanent there can't be any critical device status.
