Changeover of analog inputs to signal function -20mA..+20mA not possible
Which products are affected?
EVS93xx-EI (Servo PLC Version 6.2 DSMC control board)
EVS93xx-ET (Servo PLC Version 6.2 DSMC control board)
What happens?
When injecting a signal with changing size (-20 mA..+20 mA) a constant value is indicated in the Servo PLC. It is not possible to evaluate the signal.
When does the problem occur?
When trying to activate the signal configuration -20 mA..+20 mA (by inserting a jumper on X3/ Pin5-6).
Possible diagnostics?
None.
Short-term measures/recommendations?
An external burden resistor to be inserted on the voltage input can be used. Regarding this it must be observed that the current source must be able to generate a voltage of 10 V at the burden resistor in order to utilise the complete measuring range.
Alternatively analog signals -20 mA..+20 mA can be read in optionally via the CAN system bus by using the decentralised IO system – IP20 (EPM-T310).
Evaluation:
The function restriction is detected early during commissioning since a constant value is evaluated by the PLC.
