Homing modes 8/9 do not respond to the stop command

Which products are affected?
ESP-SPAC-CAM1 – Software Package Cam V1.1 (template cam)

What happens?
Sporadically, homing is not stopped although the template control variable g_bHomingStart has been reset to FALSE. The drive traverses constantly.

When does the problem occur?
The problem occurs with homing modes 8 and 9 (direct homing to touch probe signal at X5/E4) if the status of the template control variable used to start homing g_bHomingStart changes in quick succession.

Possible diagnostics?
Since the fault cannot be systematically reproduced, it is difficult to carry out diagnostics. The behaviour can be sporadically reproduced if the status of the template control variable g_bHomingStart is changed in quick succession.

Short-term measures/recommendations?
The described behaviour can be avoided by debouncing the template control variable g_bHomingStart (delay time > 400 ms).
In general, the signal handshake (see chapter 5.4.1 in the documentation for template cam) should be observed when using g_bHomingStart.

Evaluation
Due to the above-described behaviour, the drive sporadically continues traversing in homing modes 8 and 9 although a touch probe signal has been passed. If the status of g_bHomingStart is changed in quick succession, the fault can already be detected in the commissioning phase.
