Brake rectifier M1 at 8200 motec / 8200 vector devices - DC switching is only permissible when using an additional auxiliary relay

Which products are affected?
8200 vector 0.25 kW – 90 kW
8200 motec 0.25 kW – 7.5 kW

What happens?
If the relay contact is loaded as brake control in combination with the M1 brake rectifier the relay may fail too early.

When does this problem occur?
If the M1 brake rectifier is switched on the DC side and if the mains voltage is 400 V AC.

Possible diagnostics?
Relay function cannot be guaranteed anymore (continuous contact or interruption).

Short-term measures/recommendations?

1. Use of brake rectifier B2 with 230V AC supply via external conductor (L1) and additional PEN conductor (N).
2. DC switching with additional auxiliary relay; coil voltage: 24 V, R > 1 kOhm, auxiliary relay is supplied by terminal 20 (+20 V) and terminal 7 (GND) of the FIF module. The relay can only be placed in an external suitable branch box outside the motec device (in case of 8200 vector inside the control cabinet). Relay recommendation: Relay: 'Schrack' type RP710024 with Plug-in socket: 'Schrack' type RT78626
