Which products are affected?
The fault is eliminated in servo position controllers 9300EP as from versions V2.2 and V6.1.
Eliminated function restriction
During mains connection, the current detection is adjusted automatically to optimise the drive features. Before, this adjustment was not carried out if the controller was switched on with only 24 V supply and the mains was connected subsequently. The drives did not reach the possible torque quality and the good smooth running quality.
Now, the controllers are optimised always only after the first rise from the low voltage and thus independent of the switch-on sequence of mains supply and 24 V supply.
Possible diagnostics
None.
Short-term measures/recommendations?
Switch on power simultaneously or before the external 24 V supply. This applies only for the initial switch-on, after that the 24 V supply can remain during mains connection.
Evaluation:
This is important only for high requirements to torque quality and smooth running quality. This function restriction was eliminated already in mid 2001 with version V 2.2.
