Torque quality and smooth running characteristics

Which products are affected?

9300EP servo positioning controller versions V2.1

What happens?

During mains connection an automatic adjustment of current detection is performed in order to optimise the drive features. This adjustment has so far not been performed if the device was initially switched on with a supply of only 24 V and the mains was only connected later. The drives did not reach the potential torque quality or good smooth running characteristics.
Now the automatic optimisation is always performed on the first passage of current from low voltage so it does not matter in what order the mains supply and the 24 V supply are switched on.

When does the problem occur?

The automatically adjustment has so far not been performed if the device was initially switched on with a supply of only 24 V and the mains was only connected later.

Possible diagnostics?

None.

Short-term measures/recommendations?

Turn on the power simultaneously or before the external 24 V supply. It only applies when switching on for the first time and afterwards the 24 V supply can remain on when connecting to the mains.

Evaluation:

Only of interest when there are high demands being made in terms of torque quality and smooth running characteristics.
