How is the reaction?
The PTC function is activated in the basic device 8200 vector. If first the external 24 V supply for the module is connected and then the voltage supply of the basic device, the PTC monitoring is immediately released although the drive has no malfunction.
When does the problem occur?
It occurs only if the module is already supply (external 24 V) and the PTC function is activated before the the basic device is switched on. The CAN I/O RS must always be supplied externally.
Possible diagnostics?
The described error may have occurred if the PTC monitoring is released immediately after switching on the basic device.
Short-term measures/recommendations?
If the CAN I/O RS is used with 8200 vector software version < 3.0 the PTC monitoring cannot be used.
