Index signal selected as the touch probe source after switching on (elimination)

Which products are affected?
EPL-10200 (Drive PLC Version 2.2)
EPZ-10203 (Extension Board 3)

Eliminated function restriction:
After switching on the Drive PLC, the setting that had previously been saved with C0003 to protect it in the event of a mains failure is active for the touch probe source (C0428).

Which products are affected?
  • EPL-10200 (Drive PLC version 2.1)
  • EPZ-10203 (Extension Board 3)

What happens?
After switching on the Drive PLC a zero pulse is selected as touch probe source (C0428 = 0). This is also the case if the setting 'terminal X3/I1' (C0428 = 1) had been saved power failure safe before.

When does the problem occur?
If the controller program synchronisation is not activated (C1120 = 0) or the synchronisation is carried out to the CAN Sync telegram (C1120 = 1) the zero pulse (C0428=0) has been set as touch probe source when switching on the Drive PLC.

Possible diagnostics?
The correct setting of the touch probe source can be controlled by reading out code C0428, e. g. by using function block L_ParRead.

Short-term measures/recommendations?
The touch probe source must be selected during operation of the Drive PLC by writing the code C0428, e. g. by using the function block L_ParWrite.
