CAN-PDO: Application of the free CAN-PDO (9300 ServoPLC, DrivePLC, ECS)

Question:
Under which conditions can the free CAN-PDO be applied?

Answer:
In complex applications with a central (sub-) control in the form of a ServoPLC or DrivePLC, e.g. in multi-axis applications or on the extensive use of terminal extensions, the existing CAN-PDO channels ('On-Board-PDO') in the control are often insufficient. To be able to expand the existing number of CAN-PDOs, there exists an additional library LenzeCanDrv.lib. If this library is integrated into a DDS project and the program organisation units initialised, an as yet unused SDO or one of the CAN1-I/O, CAN2-I/O, CAN3-I/O or SYNC-TX objects can be used for transmitting more CAN-PDO telegrams over this hardware channel.

The attached document explains two possibilities how to apply the free CAN-PDOs and shows the procedures in the automation components' operating system that are connected to the free CAN-PDOs.
