Question:
How precise is the current torque display for ECS?
Answer:
To determine the precision of the current torque display, it must be distinguished between the operation of asynchronous motors (ASM) and synchronous motors (SM).
For ASMs in the basic setting range applies:
When the motor parameters are correct and a temperature feedback system is used, precision may be < 5 %.
If the motor parameters are not known exactly, the deviation rises up to 10 %.
If no temperature feedback system is used, the deviation will - depending on the operating point - be up to 20 %.
Since the motor parameters are of great importance in the field weakening range, it is not possible to determine the precision of the current torque display in this range.
For SMs applies:
When the motor parameters are correct and the motor is warm, precision may be between 2 - 5 %.
Since there is no temperature correction implemented for SMs, the deviation may be between 10 - 15 % when the motor is cold.
