Why can communication not be established although the CAN line is connected?
Answer:
Sometimes it may happen that the controller cannot establish communication with other nodes although the parameter setting is correct.
Here, the status of the 'CAN Run' diagnostics LED is important. When the device is switched on, it is checked whether the physical CAN bus structure is correct. If it is detected that there is, e.g. no other CAN node available, the 'CAN Run' LED goes out.
If this LED is off and the corresponding drive is in the 'Initialisation' CAN status (C00359/0), there may be a hardware error in the CAN plug or in the bus cable. Cores may have been reversed or the bus terminating resistor of an axis preconnected on the bus may be switched on (this deactivates the output of the CAN plug).
