Safe torque off, functionality of the switch off at the 9400

Question:
How is the 9400 switched off after the function 'safe torque off' has been triggered?

Answer:
In case of safe torque off the voltage supply of the optocouplers for the control of the power stage is interrupted via semi-conductors. The output stage is inhibited. Moreover, the microcontroller receives a feedback from the safety module, so that on 'external interventions' corresponding reactions are possible. In addition the generation of the PWM signals for the power switch is interrupted.
