P13 trip or P03 warning is released, DFSET in processing table, but unused

Question:

The controller indicates P03 warning or P13 trip, although the drive is not phase-controlled.

Answer:

Function blocks in the processing table are processed in the controller, even if they are not linked or used.

If the function block DFSET is entered in the processing table but not used, the following error and phase error monitoring of the DFSET may be released.
The controller indicates 'P03 warning' (following error limit P03 exceeded, default setting 5 rev.) or P13 trip (phase overflow) if the drive is moved after mains switching and the following error increases correspondingly.

Cause:
The following error corresponds to the difference between phase setpoint and actual phase. The phase setpoint remains zero if the DFSET is not linked. The decisive actual phase of the DFSET is permanently updated by the feedback system so that the following error limit can be exceeded or a phase overflow is caused.

Set following error to zero:
The following error in DFSET is not reset automatically in case of controller inhibit (e.g. terminal 28 or trip) because this is not useful for different applications. The user can influence the phase setpoint and actual phase via the inputs DFSET-SET and DFSET-RESET and reset the following error.

Trip reset:
The P03 warning and P13 trip can only be reset after the following error (DFSET-SET) has been reset.

Remedy:
  • Do not enter DFSET in the processing table if it is not required for the application.
  • Alternatively. link DFSET-RESET and DFSET-SET with Fixed1 signal or
  • Deactivate monitorings: C0589 = 3 (Off) for P03 and C0590 = 3 (Off) for P13
