Set value poti on 100 %, the default results in only half of the output frequency

Question:

Why does the 8200 / 8200 vector / motec  frequency inverter has only half of the output frequency in case of set value poti?

Answer:

The drive controllers are factory-set to 0 - 10 V set value voltage. The output terminal 9, however, supplies only 5 V DC.

In order to adapt the output frequency, the following steps must be taken when the controller is switched off:
  • 8200: plug the jumper from the lower to the middle position
  • 8200 vector / motec with standard I/O: switch DIP 5 to OFF
  • 8200 vector / motec with application I/O: eliminate jumper A (input X3/1U) or jumper B (input X3/2U) accordingly.

Note:
The jumper field of the 8200 is on the front side of the device in the upper third. If the keypad or AIF module is plugged, it must be eliminated, as the jumper field is behind.
