Question:
Why does the CAN break off communication with the PLC after loading a new project?
Answer:
1. The communication parameters have been changed in DDS or the PLC. Make sure that the correct parameters have been set at both ends.
2. The program 'Gateway.exe' is no longer capable of running properly. Deactivate the program. To do this press the right mouse button to click on the icon in the control bar and select 'exit'. When there is another attempt to log in, the program is started again.
3. Another device (e.g. GDC or GDC light) is using the same SDO channel as DDS. The SDO channel used by DDS can be set under the menu item 'Online, Communication Parameters => Parameter Channel'. The default value in DDS is parameter channel = 1.
Note: With the tool 'Systembuscheck' (program part of DDS) it is possible to check the communication channel.
