Device remains in DC bus overvoltage switch-off (eliminated from V5.0 onwards)

Eliminated from:
StateLine / HighLine with firmware version V05.01 or higher

Behaviour of the new version?
The drive continues to follow its setpoint ramp when it returns from the overvoltage switch-off state.

Which products are affected?
8400 StateLine / HighLine with FW < 05.01

What happens?
The device remains in the 'DC bus overvoltage' status for a longer period of time, so new setpoints are not accepted.

When does the problem occur?
When the device returns from the overvoltage switch-off state, the setpoint generator is stopped while the output voltage is ramped up. In applications which involve high moments of inertia, this behaviour may cause the device to remain in the DC-bus overvoltage switch-off state (switch-off is repeated permanently). This problem occurs in the 'V/f control without feedback' motor control mode.

Possible diagnostics?
'OU - overvoltage' display on the keypad / in the Engineer, Logbook entries

Short-term measures / recommendations?
None

Evaluation:
The deceleration ramp is greatly extended due to permanent OU switch-off but the device will not be damaged.
