CAN: Number of nodes after CANopen (eliminated from V5.0 onwards)

Eliminated from:
StateLine / HighLine with firmware version V05.01 or higher

Behaviour of the new version?
In the default setting, an SDO is active for CANopen adaptation; hence, 127 CAN nodes can be addressed. A second SDO can be activated via C0366, so the max. number of CAN nodes is reduced to 63.
If the second SDO from the control is used to parameterise the inverters, the number of SDO must be adapted first. This change in firmware may result in compatibility problems if two SDOs are used. Customers who expect CANopen conformity and link nodes with more than 63 node addresses on the CAN bus must use the new FW V05.01.

Which products are affected?
8400 StateLine / HighLine with FW < 05.01

What happens?
The constant number of SDOs is two. The resulting maximum number of nodes on the CAN bus is 63. This does not correspond to the CANopen specification (127 nodes).

When does the problem occur?
If more than 63 nodes communicate via the CAN bus.

Possible diagnostics?
Trouble on the CAN bus.

Short-term measures / recommendations?
None

Evaluation:
If more than 63 addresses are to be assigned or if one of the nodes is to use an address >63, a second CAN line must be established.
