Onboard system bus processes SDO requests in the ¨Stopped¨ state
Which products are affected?
ECS axis module: ECSxx operating software V7.4 and lower
What happens?
After changing from Stopped to Pre-Operational or Operational the PLC target system returns a response to the SDO request received before.
When does the problem occur?
All SDO requests received by the PLC target system when the onboard system bus interface is in the Stopped state are processed by the PLC target system and an answer is returned after changing to the Pre-Operational or Operational state.
Possible diagnostics?
None.
Short-term measures/recommendations?
None.
Evaluation:
The function restriction only occurs if the onboard system bus interface is in the Stopped state and then SDO telegrams are sent to the PLC target system. A communication with the PLC target system via system bus is not possible when the onboard system bus interface is in the Stopped state. Therefore, SDO telegrams should not be sent to the PLC target system in this case.
The PLC target system itself cannot change the state of its own onboard system bus interface to Stopped.
