Why are there differences in maximum CAN baud rates between AIF and FIF modules?
Answer:
The system bus FIF module (E82AFC) has a max. transfer rate of 500 kbaud and is chiefly intended for communication between the drive controllers.
CAN AIF modules 2171, 2172 and 2175 have a max. transfer rate von 1 Mbaud because they have more powerful microcontrollers. This is frequently required for communication with a CAN master.
