Persistent variables have initial value after interruption of project download (corrected from V3.21)
Corrected from:
Controller c300 V3.21
Controller 3200C V3.21
Panel Controller p300 V3.21
Panel Controller p500 V3.21
Response of the new version:
After an interrupted project download, the values of the persistent variables remain unchanged and are not reset.
What happens?
After an interrupted project download, the persistent variables are reset to their initial values.
When does this behaviour occur? If a project download is interrupted, e.g. by terminating the Ethernet connection, and the project download is repeated afterwards, the persistent variables are reset to their initial values.
Which products are affected?
c300 controller V3.8 and higher
3200C controller V3.0 and higher
p300 panel controller V3.8 and higher
p500 panel controller V3.3 and higher
Short-term measures:
Restart the controller after a project download was interrupted. Only repeat the project download after restarting the controller.
Evaluation/recommendation:
Persistent variables do not change their value after downloading a project. Due to the above function restriction, the persistent variables are reset to their initial values when a project download was interrupted and the project is downloaded again right after the interruption. Under 'Short-term measures', you are informed how to ensure that the persistent variables will keep their values despite an interruption of the project download.
