OPC UA access rights not backwards compatible

Description of the behavior:
The OPC UA access rights ("Access Rights") are not backwards compatible.

After a controller FW downgrade, e.g. from a V1.13 to a V1.12, the previously configured OPC UA access rights are no longer applied. An OPC UA client is no longer granted access to the OPC UA server, despite correctly configured permissions.

Conditions under which the behavior occurs:

  • User management is active.
  • Access rights ("Access Rights") have been configured for OPC UA.
  • A FW downgrade lower than V1.13 has been performed.

 
Affected products:

  • c550, c520, c430 from FW version 1.13


Short-term measures, Recommendations, Rating:

  • The access rights can be reassigned with the PLC Designer.
