L_MC1P: Modulo axis, MoveAbsolute and xContinuousUpdate is active: Movement is in unexpected direction (fixed as of V03.32.00)

Removed from:
Library:  L_MC1P_MotionControlBasic  (FAST Motion)   as of V03.32.00
Behavior of the new version:
The movement of the modulo axis is now even under the conditions mentioned below in the correct and expected direction.

Description of behavior:
For absolute positioning in the modulo travel range, one or more modulo overflows may be required to reach the target position.
Uunder the conditions listed below it may happen that

dthe movement
falsely takes place in the opposite direction, at most by a distance of one bar length.

Conditions under which the behavior occurs:

  • Modulo axis and
  • Absolute positioning via MC_MoveAbsolute, MC_MoveContinuousAbsolute and
  • Function Ccontinuous update is active (xContinuousUpdate=TRUE) and
  • New target position above continuous update, during the movement and after at least one modulo overflow.
Affected products:
Library:  L_MC1P_MotionControlBasic  (FAST Motion)

Short-term measures, Recommendations, Rating:
The function Cdo not use continuous update (xContinuousUpdate=FALSE) and instead specify an xExecute edge when specifying new profile parameters.
