Unexpected activation of quickstop with safe brake control
Question:
I do not want the QSP to be activated when SS1 is activated in my slave drive. Therefore, I have activated bit 1 in index 0x500A:162 (Ignore SS1 request). Nevertheless, the bit "Quickstop Active" is set in the status data. Where does this unexpected behaviour come from?
Answer:
When the SBC function is activated, the QSP is also activated so that the brake is always applied when the motor is at a standstill after the SBC delay time has elapsed. If the activation of the QSP is not desired here, this must be deactivated in index 0x500A:162 by bit 5 (Ignore SBC request). In the TA CiA Advanced, all bits are activated by default (0x500D:162), so that all requests are ignored and the behaviour does not occur.
