Question: What can be done when windows such as visualization properties, messages,.... are no longer displayed?
Answer: Windows and tabs of the PLC Designer can be undocked or moved freely. It can happen that these moved windows are no longer displayed where they are expected or are not displayed at all (e.g. when using multiple monitors). The menu command 'Window' > 'Reset Window Layout' resets the positions of the windows and, if necessary, the windows are also docked as tabs again. By uninstalling and reinstalling the PLC Designer it is not possible to reset the window layout. The PLC Designer saves the positions of the windows automatically in separate files, which are not deleted when uninstalling the PLC Designer.
